SAYPHIN is Society for Adolescent and Young Person Health in Nigeria. SAYPHIN was established as a result of the gap in Adolescent Health.
The vision of SAYPHIN is to be the leader in promoting optimal health, well-being and development of adolescents and young people.
The National Association for Communication of the Health of Adolescents Development (NACHAD), the precursor to SAYPHIN, which was started in year 1998 and was funded by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) ceased from operating and this created a gap in the care for Adolescent health. SAYPHIN was registered in 2016 to fill this gap with some of the foremost Adolescent Health Practitioners as Trustees. The board of trustees include: Hajia Bello (President AYIP), Prof. Ladipo (President ARFH), Dr. Babatunde Aransi (a former member of FORD), Dr. Phillipa Momah, Dr. Sola Odunjinrin, who used to work for UNFPA but now at WHO, Dr. Olumide Adesola and Prof. Adesegun Fatusi.
