The Society for Adolescent and Young People’s Health in Nigeria (SAYPHIN) is the national association of professionals working in the area of adolescents’ and young people’s health in Nigeria, including health professionals, social workers, counselling and educational professionals. Membership of SAYPHIN provides a strong platform for engaging with other experts with significant opportunities for personal and professional development, networking, and for influencing the development of adolescent and youth health programmes and policies and advancing the field of adolescent health and development in Nigeria.
To qualify as an Individual or Organization member:
I. The individual or organization shall apply for membership through the Executive Committee.
II. The individual or organization shall agree with the objectives of the Society.
III. The individual or organization shall be approved for membership of the Society by the Executive Committee.
IV. The individual or organization approved for membership shall have fully paid the prescribed (registration and annual membership/retention) dues before including his/her name in the Register of members.
I. Access to education and training opportunities (eg webinars, online courses) that help build the capacity of local trainees and professionals
II. Linkage to international training and mentoring networks, fellowships and scholarships
III. Opportunity to join key committees that will further enhance personal opportunities for national, regional and global engagement and leadership
IV. Access to the national and global adolescent health community of practice
V. Reduced fees for participation in national conferences, regional and world congress of the International Association for Adolescent Health (IAAH events) (eg world congress)
I. Visibility of your organisation within a national organisation and linkage to its regional and global network of adolescent health professional associations (eg linkage to the IAAH website).
II. Promotion by SAYPHIN of your organisation’s events on its website and other forms of communication (eg national conferences, webinars)
III. Opportunity to contribute to national policy development and agenda-setting in the field of adolescent health and development
IV. Opportunity for leadership roles within SAYPHIN
V. Access to SAYPHIN membership and listserve and linkage to experts with specific adolescent health knowledge).
